This marina is open under new management. The wet slips in have been completely rebuilt with 10 new lifts, pricing for the 10,000 pound lifts and slips is $200. There are two 13,000 pounds lifts
available too! The dry storage area renovation has been completed with two options available, a high roof storage area for
$125 per month and a low storage area for $100 per month. Electricity is available in this storage area.
The boat launch area has been rebuilt witha a floating dock.
The field storage option is $60 per month.
Covered Kayak, canoe, and long boards storage is available for $20 per month.
Kayak and canoe rentals are now available with Hobie 1 person kayaks at $9 per hour and $30 per half day and 2 person kayaks at $12 per hour and $40 for a half day. A canoe is available for $10 per hour or $35 for a half day.
Two boats are available for rental a Pontoon boat (with live well) for $175 per half day plus fuel and a 3 person flats fishing boat for $150 per half day plus fuel, complete with 60 HP motor, trolling motor, fishing platform, live wells and everything else you need to catch the big reds and snook in Old Tampa Bay!
Cove Cay is a beautiful area with manatee, fishing, and pleasure boating as its' focus. The Cove is lined with mangrove trees. From the dual launch site it is a 5 minute wake free trip to
Allen's Creek and Old Tampa Bay. Low tide can still accommodate boats with a 3 foot draft. Boats up to 38 feet have accessed the Cove.
Fuel service will be completed in January 2014.
Other amenities include a fish cleaning area, boat wash, restrooms, and kitchen facilities.
Interested parties are welcome to come and visit the facility. They will find a relaxed atmosphere where they can relax on shore and grill or enjoy a beverage after boating.
The fishing in this area is outstanding with plentiful Snook and Red Fish. In the Cove are Manatee and you will see Mullet jump every few minutes. Many large birds make this area their home and share the natural setting with marina members.
